Delaware safety extends for impressive one-handed interception (Video)

Delaware’s Nasir Adderley channelled his inner Odell Beckham Jr. on Saturday afternoon against Towson.

And no, he’s not a receiver. He’s a junior defensive back.

With 3:30 left in the second quarter and Delaware up 7-3, Towson was facing a second-and-1 deep in their own territory when Towson’s quarterback let one fly downfield. Aiming for his receiver who never even got a fair shot to get the ball, Adderley came swooping in right in front of the route.

With his right hand extended, Adderley jumped into the air, snagging the overthrown ball right out of the air.

This isn’t the first time Delaware made the highlights, last week Jamie Jarmon went airborne for an incredibly athletic front-flip touchdown.

While Jarmon didn’t stick the landing, the wide receiver still tied the game 28-28 with 10:06 left. The touchdown sent Delaware into overtime for the first time since 2014 and first OT home game since 2012. Against Richmond, Delaware eventually won 42-35 in double overtime.
