Tide Pods are among several liquid laundry products recently recalled for a “risk of serious injury to children and other vulnerable populations,” according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The agency reported that more than 8.2 million Procter & Gamble made Tide Pods, plus Gain Flings, Ace Pods, and Ariel Pods — sold between last September and February — were packaged improperly and in a risky manner.

Sold in zip lock pouches, the zipper’s track has a weak point that can be opened without sliding the zipper across the bag, making the pods easily accessible to children.

The CPSC issued concern that children or others may consume the packets or risk skin and eye injuries from their contents.

After all, there was another wave of people eating Tide pods last winter.

The faulty-made products were sold at Big Lots, CVS, Family Dollar, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Target, Walmart, plus Amazon among other major retailers.

The impacted bag sizes ran from 12 individual pods to four, 39-count single bags per box.

The CPSC, which announced the recall on April 5, noted that there are no confirmed cases of incidents or injuries regarding the pods.

However, four children were able to access the pods and three consumed their contents.

It is unclear if they were part of the recalled bags.
