Deer Valley Resort extends ski season for second time in resort’s history

PARK CITY, UTAH (ABC4)Deer Valley Resort is now extending its ski season by a week for the second time in the resort’s 40-year history.

The closing day for the 2023-2024 season was originally April 14, but is now set for Sunday, April 21, giving skiers a few more days to hit the slopes one last time.

In a press release, a spokesperson with Deer Valley Resort said this decision comes following a record-breaking February and an above-average snowfall of more than 320 total inches to date.

Deer Valley Resort also added an extra week in the 2022-2023 season, where 13 out of 15 resorts broke all-time snowfall records.

Closing dates for other resorts can be found on Ski Utah’s website, though they are subject to change depending on conditions.

If you’re already thinking ahead for next year, Deer Valley Resort also said 2024-2025 season passes are available for purchase.
