Decatur Utilities restores power to all customers

Jan. 12—Decatur Utilities has restored power to all of the approximately 6,100 customers who lost electricity service this morning due to the storm that moved through the area.

The utility said that although it still has "a tremendous amount of damage throughout the city including multiple poles and trees down" it was able to restore electric service from alternative lines temporarily while repairs are made.

Any residential customers who still have a power outage at their individual service address should call DU at 256-552-1400 Option 1 to report it.
