Death in Paradise star Joséphine Jobert has teased her return to acting following the airing of the season 13 finale.

The French actor and singer played Detective Sergeant Florence Cassell in the BBC One crime drama mainly between seasons 4 and 8, but returned for a stint across seasons 10 and 11, and then made a guest appearance in the recent season 13.

Last week, Jobert responded to a fan on Instagram who sent her a direct message asking if she was planning on returning to acting any time soon.

She replied: "That's one of the rules in business. Things can be pretty quiet for months, and then all of a sudden, everything happens at once. To be continued..."

The latest season finale also saw the departure of Ralf Little, who became the show's main detective in 2020.

After the episode aired, he confirmed he had left, stating: "My time on Saint Marie has come to an end – what an end! New adventures await Neville, and he got to sail away into the sunset with his best friend. Who knows what happens for them next!

"I want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who watched and supported the show when I arrived four and a half years ago. Coming into a series beloved by millions was a huge responsibility and I had no idea whether viewers would take to my interpretation of Neville's character, and indeed to me."
