Death investigation confirmed following Gang Mills police presence

GANG MILLS, N.Y. (WETM) — New York State Police are conducting a death investigation in Gang Mills after a neighborhood was blocked off in the hamlet on Tuesday.

According to the NYSP Public Information Officer, Lynnea Crane, a death investigation is underway after an incident on Highland Drive on Tuesday, May 14.

State police were seen shutting down the road on Tuesday as patrol and investigator vehicles lined the road and an ambulance was seen in the driveway of one of the houses.

As part of the investigation, items from inside the home were removed.

At the time of this publishing, there’s been no confirmation on the victim or if any charges will be pursued.
