Death investigation begins after remains discovered in Henry County

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has begun a death investigation after human remains were discovered on Sunday in a rural area of Kewanee, according to a news release.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is actively investigating this incident and says “There is no danger to the public.”

Further details will be released when the investigation is completed, the release says.

The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services and the Kewanee Police Department assisted with the incident.
