'Deadliest Catch' Deckhand Injured After Scary Fall From Pot Stack

On Deadliest Catch, the crew of the Saga got battered by the stormy seas. Already down a crewman things looked bleak, especially after some loose 800 lbs crab pots smashed into the workers on deck. But nobody on the boat had it quite as bad as new deckhand Luce. He was charged with stacking and tying crab pots while the boat rolled in giant waves. While stacking in the darkness of night, Luce fell between a row pots. He fell backwards about 15 ft, landing on his side and head. While the crew tended to the deckhand he started developing headaches, dizziness, and vomiting. The captain, Jake Anderson, wasn't sure how to handle what appeared to be a concussion. He had to decide between picking up the final 60 pots or going to port for medical treatment. The coverage ended with the skipper saying, "I've seen people get knocked out on the boat's pots, and they were fine, but it's different when I'm down there, and I'm up here. It's my responsibility, and I have to live with the guilt every day. F**k it, I'm going in."
