Game of Thrones has basically been one long funeral for the last five seasons, as characters both beloved and despised have met their ends.

In some cases, we cheered for their deaths (we’re looking at you, Joffrey), and in others, we gasped in total shock (wasn’t Ned Stark supposed to be the show’s lead?). And sometimes, we just wept (Red Wedding, never forget).
