Dead body discovery at Clackamas County fire scene prompts investigation

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Investigators are seeking tips after a dead body was discovered at the scene of a fire in Clackamas County.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the suspicious death early Thursday morning at a fire on Southeast Flavel Drive in unincorporated Clackamas County.

Before being called, Clackamas Fire District had responded to a fire at the site and while extinguishing it, they discovered the body and called in the police.

Medical examiner declares woman’s death homicide, husband faces murder charge

The scene and incident are still under investigation and they are working to identify the body.

Authorities are asking anyone with information or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the 8000 block of Southeast Flavel Drive on or around Thursday to contact police.
