DC Protester's LED Tuba Reads 'Go Home Red Necks'

A man protesting the Unite the Right 2 rally in Washington, DC, on August 12 stood in Lafayette Square with an LED tuba that read, “go home red necks.”

Counter-protesters marching in response to the Unite the Right 2 rally gathered in Lafayette Square on Sunday ahead of white nationalist protesters’ arrival, which was expected later in the afternoon, according to local media.

The rally was held on the one-year anniversary of the Unite the Right rally held in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, where counter-protester Heather Heyer was killed. A memorial was held at 4th Street in Charlottesville to mark the anniversary of her death. Credit: Molly R Hart via Storyful
