DC police recovers 50 illegal guns in 7 days

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it has been working to investigate and recover illegal firearms in the District.

MPD said that from Monday, May 13 through Monday, May 20, police recovered 50 firearms in D.C.

Officers said one of their main goals is to remove illegal guns from D.C. streets to reduce crime
and the fear of crime in the community.
