DC police: Officer shoots, kills dog after it attacked woman, children

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a D.C. police officer shot and killed a dog after it attacked three people in Northeast D.C. on Monday night.

The attack happened in the 800 block of 49th St. NE. There, MPD says the officer saw the attack and shot the dog, killing it.

Police identify bicyclist killed in Northeast DC collision

A woman and two children were injured by the dog. They were all taken to a hospital while conscious and breathing, MPD confirmed in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
