DC police: Man arrested in connection to Northeast shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) –– The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it arrested someione in connection to a shooting that happened in Northeast on Sunday afternoon.

MPD said at about 2:10 p.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Jay St. NE for the report a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. Medics took the man to the hospital. His injuries weren’t considered life-threatening.

On Sunday, MPD arrested Antonio Lucas, 46, of Northwest. He faces a charge of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
