DC police looking for puppy stolen out of Northwest home

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it was looking for a puppy that was stolen during a burglary in Northwest D.C.

The burglary happened on April 18 between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. MPD said the suspect went into someone’s home in the 4800 block of Illinois Ave.

The suspect stole things, including the puppy, before getting away.

The puppy, named Smoke, is 11 weeks old and is an American Bulldog and Mastiff mix.

Anyone with information is asked to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411. MPD is offering a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
