DC police arrest man for Northwest stabbing

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it arrested a man for a stabbing that happened in Northwest D.C. on Saturday night.

MPD said the victim flagged down officers at about 9:17 p.m. The person had been stabbed in the 600 block of H Street NW. Crews transported them to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, police said they arrested the suspect near the scene.

MPD charged 32-year-old Tanade Qarn Warsame of Northwest D.C. with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
