Investigators seek public's help after three fatal shootings in Camden

CAMDEN — Three men died on the same day after separate shootings here.

Na'Quan McCray, 18, was shot multiple times around 8:30 p.m. on May 17 at Point Street Park on North Camden's waterfront, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

The park is at Point and York streets.

McCray died shortly after 10 p.m. at Cooper University Hospital, Camden.

Earlier that day, 24-year-old Marcus Corbitt was gunned down around 12:20 p.m. on the 800 block of Princeton Avenue. He died at Cooper at 1:15 p.m.

Princeton is a single-block street off Pine Street.

McCray and Corbitt were Camden residents.

The third victim, 25-year-old Shyhiem Davis, of Woodlynne, also died at Cooper Friday after being shot four days earlier, the prosecutor's office said.

It said officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of the 700 block of Ferry Avenue, around 5:40 p.m. on May 13.

Davis arrived at Cooper as a "walk-in gunshot victim," and remained in critical condition until his death, the prosecutor's office said.

Investigators are underway into each homicide.
