(KTXL) – On March 10th, 2010, the Sacramento Kings beat the Toronto Raptors, 113-90. In the win, five Kings players scored in double figures, one of whom was Tyreke Evans.

Evans, a rookie, had 19 points. He also had ten rebounds and ten assists for a triple-double.

The triple-double was the first triple-double by a Kings rookie in the Sacramento era. (The previous was in 1969 when the franchise was in Cincinnati.)

“The triple-double is very special to me, it’s my first one,” said Evans. “The crowd was into it and we played really well in the second half.”

Tyreke Evans would go on to be the NBA’s Rookie of the Year in 2010.
