David Beckham’s 22 Pushups Challenge Video Is Sexier Than Yours

David Beckham will see you and raise you — that’s his style.

The retired soccer star was called out by Guy Ritchie to participate in the 22 Million Pushups Challenge, a viral campaign launched by #22Kill to call attention to the number of U.S. military veterans suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder who commit suicide daily. Beckham accepted and raised the ante by doing it shirtless, wearing only undies, on top of a piano, with a glass of red by his side. His hair remained perfect throughout. It’s sort of a masterpiece.

Mr Richie’s challenge to myself day 2. @guyritchie

It started with him talking directly to the camera — and showing off the work of art. Yes, his body is a work of art, but we are talking about the tattoos covering most of his torso.

Then he got to work, while making sure we all got a good underwear shot. He doesn’t have his own bodywear line for nothin’.

Look at that hair — not a lock out of place.

When he was done, he played tour guide, sharing the view from his Las Vegas hotel room, which was 79 floors up.

And he introduced us to the pianist — outfitted in a robe — that he “hired” to tickle the ivories while he painlessly did his 22 pushups. No, it’s not Victoria (though it would have been awesome if was). It’s actually his BFF, David Gardner, a sports agent and the partner of Liv Tyler. Gardner doesn’t seem as impressed as we are.

Becks, who in turn called out his son Brooklyn Beckham, as well as Justin Theroux, is actually taking the challenge for 22 days, a new twist on it. He also filmed videos doing his exercises at 44,000 feet in his private plane and in a closet.

No, not as sexy, but just as charitable.
