Dave Grohl Judged a BBQ Contest in Memphis

Dave Grohl dropped by Memphis, Tennessee, this weekend to eat some world-class barbecue at the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest. As a featured judge, the lead Foo Fighter chowed down on grilled meat to determine if the contestants were giving their best to the barbecue competition-something that tasted not like the others, something he might have even been searching for all his life.

Anyway. Grohl snapped photos with fans, yakked it up with the pit masters, and drank plenty of pbeer. He also went back to his percussion roots to jam with country artist Tim Montana in one of the grilling tents.

Unsurprisingly, he gave it pretty much the same level of enthusiasm he uses for thrashing a guitar while seated upon a throne made of discarded six strings, getting completely blown away by fan solos of "Monkey Wrench," and calling Donald Trump a "massive jerk."

The man's not one to half-ass anything.
