From Darth Vader suit to Dorothy's red slippers: Over 100 Hollywood costumes on show in London

LONDON - A new London exhibition has brought together Hollywood's most iconic costumes, from Darth Vader's suit to Dorothy's ruby slippers and pinafore in "The Wizard of Oz."

The show at the Victoria and Albert Museum showcases more than one hundred movie costumes from a century of film-making. It includes many of cinema's most legendary outfits: Charlie Chaplin's baggy suit, hat and cane; Scarlett O'Hara's green velvet dress from "Gone with the Wind"; Holly Golightly's little black dress in "Breakfast at Tiffany's"; and Indiana Jones' leather jacket and fedora from "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

Curators said Wednesday they wanted the exhibit to tell the story of the process of costume design and how it helps create authentic characters.

The exhibition opens Saturday.
