Darlington County man faces murder, other charges in Hartsville-area shooting

DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Hartsville man is facing murder and other charges in connection with a deadly shooting in Darlington County earlier this week.

Terry Leon Carraway was charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and unlawfully placing a child at risk. Deputies said he turned himself in Wednesday evening.

Darlington County deputies responded Wednesday evening for a shooting on Johnson Street in the Hartsville area. When they arrived, they found a woman who had been shot and killed.

Carraway was booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to online jail records.
