Daredevil Jonathan Goodwin's Tips to Overcome Fear & Pain

If there is anyone who knows how to deal with fear, it’s Jonathan Goodwin. The daredevil joins The Doctors to share how he’s made a career by learning how to overcome his fears and endure extreme pain.

Jonathan, who is one of the stars of “The Illusionists – Turn of the Century” on Broadway, makes a living doing things most of would never think of attempting. Some of the death-defying stunts include being hanged, covered in 200,000 bees, sewn up inside a dead cow and hung from a helicopter by his toes. “I’m basically doing dangerous, stupid reprehensible things,” Jonathan says of his amazing stunts.

So how does the daredevil squash his fears so well? Jonathan tells The Doctors that he first learns everything he can about the stunt before attempting. “Part of my job is overcoming the fear element and that comes from research and really careful planning… if you can combat the fear with knowledge it will be a lot easier.”

Despite Jonathan’s perilous job, he says he has only broken a bone once and been burned a few times. The Doctors do not promote or encourage any viewers to attempt any of the stunts that Jonathan performs. Please leave the daredevil acts to the professionals!
