From Dancing with the Stars to Expecting Twins: Robert Herjavec & Kym Johnson's Love Story
From the ballroom to the nursery, Kym Johnson Herjavec and Robert Herjavec‘s love story couldn’t be sweeter.
The couple is expecting twins — so in honor of their family expanding, PEOPLE is looking back at their relationship.
Kym, 41, and Robert, 55, fell in love during Dancing with the Stars rehearsals in 2015 and continued to date after they were eliminated in week 8.

“I saw it immediately. I just saw that – this isn’t just your dancing partner, but you’re talking to her in a very caring manner,” Robert’s Shark Tank costar Daymond John told PEOPLE in 2016. “I’m just really happy for him.”
The couple wed in summer 2016, saying their “I dos” in front of family and friends including DWTS alums Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Donny Osmond in Los Angeles.
“I hope I can speak and that I’m not sobbing with happiness,” Kym joked to PEOPLE three days before the star-studded ceremony. “I’m sure I’ll be overcome with emotion.”
Six months into the marriage, Robert remained utterly smitten.
“I’m learning something new about her every day,” he told PEOPLE. “She’s starting a business right now, and I can’t believe how committed she is and how hard working she is. I always knew she was, but it’s scary to go into a different field you haven’t gone before. She’s approaching it with the same level of enthusiasm and courage that she’s done her whole life. I find that very motivating. I find that so impressive about her.”
The spouses celebrated their first wedding anniversary in July, with Kym teasing PEOPLE Now about wanting children.
“We’re sort of just enjoying being married at the moment,” said the owner of Beverly Hills, California-based dance studio The BOD. “But who knows!”
Added Kym of her husband, “It feels like we’ve known each other forever. It’s been almost three years since we met. He’s just amazing. We’re best friends, and it’s just easy.”
The twins will be Kym’s first children; Robert is already a dad to three kids from a previous marriage.
