Dancing with the Moultrie Stars returns to support Mustard Seed Cottage

Feb. 29—MOULTRIE — "Dancing with the Moultrie Stars" will be back onstage at Withers Auditorium on March 9 at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from this show will benefit the Mustard Seed Cottage, Inc., a maternity supportive housing residence in Moultrie. The residence is a Christian faith-based organization with a mission to offer hope, help and compassion to mothers, 18 years old and older, who are facing unplanned pregnancies.

This year's event has expanded to 12 contestants to include Jackie Young, Rob Craft, Christine Clifton, John and Carol Ann Eubanks, Jim Matney, Leslie Peretti, Charissa McKellar, Marc Eure, Maribel Greene, Tyler Dismuke and Bobby Beck.

The choreographers this year that are working with the "Stars" are Carissa McKinney, Rachael Hutchison and Aundrea Hampton.

"We will also have a surprise visit from one of the contestants from last year that will be announced at the show," said Leslee Adams, executive director of Mustard Seed Cottage.

This year there will be one winner for most tickets sold, a "Judges Pick" winner and a "People's choice" winner and runner-up.

Tickets are available now at Sucheros of Moultrie, Convenient Care Pharmacy and Clements Printing & Red Cardinal Designs. Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for children, and 2 years old and under are free.

The organization also has posters and flyers positioned throughout the area with QR codes, a type of two-dimensional matrix barcode, that will lead to the online ticket purchase website. Tickets can be purchased by cash, Venmo (@mustardseedcottage) or CashApp ($mustardseedcottage).

There will be a kick-off event at Sucheros of Moultrie on Thursday, March 7, and that will be the last opportunity to buy tickets for this event. The charity night event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., dine-in only, with a portion of the proceeds of dining going to the Mustard Seed Cottage. No delivery or online orders will be part of this event.

"We will have most, if not all of this year's contestants there to greet everyone coming in," Adams said.

The event will also include music, face painting for the kids and a couple more surprises, Adams also said.

Tickets will be available at the Will-Call window, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Withers the night of the show. Also, that night, Mustard Seed Cottage merchandise will be available for purchase in the lobby.

"This show will be epic and you will not want to miss it," said Adams.
