Who is Dan Evans?

Number 50 in the ATP men's singles world ranking, Evans has frequently been accused of failing to fulfil his considerable potential despite a resurgence last summer.

What is the current scandal about?

On Friday, Evans announced he had tested positive for cocaine in April a matter of days after withdrawing from the Aegon Invitational at Queen's last week.

Why has he previously been labelled the 'bad boy of British tennis'?

A wasted talent, Evans himself has admitted to not working hard enough off the court. He even had his funding removed by the Lawn Tennis Association, on one occasion after he was spotted partying at 3am on the day of a junior doubles match at Wimbledon.

Where does this leave his Wimbledon plans?

Evans has withdrawn from his last two tournaments, and after his announcement of a failed drugs test at a hotel in Eastbourne it looks unlikely he will be present at SW19 particularly if disciplinary proceedings ensure.

What is his biggest success?

Evans was part of Great Britain's successful Davis Cup team in 2015 and reached the fourth-round of this year's Australian Open, his best Grand Slam result to date.
