Daly City man arrested for reckless driving, crashes with 2-year-old in car

(KRON) — A Daly City man was arrested on Saturday after he was involved in multiple collisions while driving a 2-year-old child, the Pacifica Police Department said.

PPD was called to Anza Way and De Solo Drive at about 3:12 p.m. for a crash. After arriving, officers learned that one car had been involved in another crash on Highway 1 earlier.

The first crash happened on Highway 1 near Crespi Drive. The driver, identified by police as Divaldo Deleonaguilar, 33, fled the scene recklessly with a 2-year-old child in tow, per PPD.

Police said he ran a red light and two stop signs before hitting a parked car on Anza Way. No significant injuries were reported in either crash.

Deleonaguilar was treated at a hospital for a minor injury and arrested for felony child endangerment, hit and run and reckless driving. The child was released to a family member. Police did not describe Deleonaguilar’s relationship with the child.
