Dale Earnhardt Jr. sees what its like to be a member of a bobsled team
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is no stranger to speed. The recently-retired NASCAR driver has routinely driven over 200 MPH throughout his adult life. But that didn’t stop him from being a bit hesitant when he jumped into a bobsled.
Junior is in PyeongChang for NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics before he begins his gig as a NASCAR analyst for the network. He spent some time with the United States Bobsled Team while in South Korea and quipped he was a little scared just sitting in the bobsled when it was standing still.
The four-man bobsled teams were approaching speeds over 88 MPH throughout their first runs on Saturday.
