Dale County residents hit the polls on Super Tuesday; Sees low turnout

DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — Dale County residents are hitting the polls to cast their vote in one of the biggest races in their backyard, the Dale County Commission Chairman race.

It’s between incumbent Steve McKinnon, who’s eyeing a second term, District 3 Commissioner Adam Enfinger and Pinckard Mayor Bobby Borland.

The candidates say no matter how the race shakes out, this day is for the people to have their voices heard and so far that’s what they have seen all day.

“All day today I have been riding around to the polling places not going in them to campaign but a few people have come up to me in the parking lot and it’s looking like a great turnout, says McKinnon.

“Today’s about the voter the candidates have done all they can do today’s about them throughout this campaign we talked about the voter and the taxpayer,” Enfinger says.

“It’s gonna be a while before we know the results but as I say we are hopeful it’s in God’s hands, not mine,” Bourland said.

If you haven’t voted, there is still time. Polls will close at 7 p.m.
