Three of this year’s biggest movie stars are heading to Netflix. The streaming platform has officially picked up the rights to Super-Normal, a “subversive” take on the crowded superhero genre — with Josh Gad, Daisy Ridley, and Luke Evans attached to star!

The comedy is based on an original idea by Josh Gad.

The actor subsequently developed that idea with Moana writers Aaron and Jordan Kandell and Gad’s Beauty and the Beast costar, Luke Evans. Evans, who reportedly helped pitch the project with Gad, will also executive produce alongside the Frozen star, Dan Lin, and Jonathan Eirich.

The comedy will also reunite Gad with Ridley, who he famously bombarded with Star Wars questions on the set of Murder on the Orient Express in a series of Instagram videos. Let’s just hope Gad keeps up the good work.

While not much else is known about the project regarding the roles the three actors will play or who will direct, The Hollywood Reporter — which broke the news — noted that prior to being scooped up by Netflix, Super-Normal generated a lot of interest, and even saw an offer from Disney before ultimately landing at the streaming platform. (You know, just in case the cast wasn’t enough to convince you this is going to be ah-mazing.)

This announcement comes on the heels of a pretty big year for the trio.

In addition to starring in Beauty and the Beast and Murder on the Orient Express, Gad also starred in Thurgood Marshall biopic Marshall and will reprise his role as Olaf in short film Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.

Evans, who starred as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, briefly reprised his role as Owen Shaw in The Fate of the Furious and stars as the title character in the critically acclaimed Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.

Meanwhile, Ridley’s new film — you might have heard of it — Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th.

There’s just so much good stuff going on with these three and we’re so glad to hear there’s more in store!
