The Infected Blood Scandal is described as the ‘worst treatment disaster in the history of the NHS’. It resulted in thousands of people in the UK in the 70s and 80s being given blood transfusions or blood products that were infected with viruses such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV. Thousands died after being given contaminated products by the NHS.

As the public inquiry releases its final report, Kamal Ahmed and Camilla Tominey are joined on The Daily T by the host of Telegraph podcast Bed of Lies, and author of The Poison Line, Cara McGoogan, who has spent years covering the scandal, speaking to those who have been impacted by it.
