Daily Digit: Are you ready for the longest, tallest, fastest dive coaster?
Daily Digit is the story behind the numbers that make our world work. Today we’re looking at a new record-breaking roller coaster. Canada is building a roller coaster that will be 3,625 feet long and 245 feet tall and reach a top speed of 80 mph — effectively making the Yukon Striker the world’s longest, tallest, and fastest dive coaster. It will take all those titles from Valravn, a roller coaster in Ohio that is 3,415 ft long and 223 ft tall, with a top speed of 75 mph. Yukon Striker will include a 90-degree, 3-second drop into an underground tunnel and a first-of-its-kind 360-degree loop. Are you brave enough to ride?
