Daily Digit: In-N-Out managers make an insane amount of money

Daily Digit is the story behind the numbers that make our world work. Today we’re looking at everyone’s favorite fast food chain. Store managers at In-N-Out Burger have an average salary of $160,000. That’s roughly triple the pay of an average restaurant manager in California. And it’s higher than the average for more lucrative professions as well. All employees start at $13 an hour and can work their way up, even without a college degree. They get all the benefits too: paid time off, 401(k), and medical insurance. In-N-Out Burger was recently ranked No. 4 in Glassdoor’s “Best Places to Work” for 2018. So perhaps “flipping burgers” isn’t so bad after all.
