Daily Digit: Many Americans say the 2017 tax cuts haven’t helped at all

Daily Digit is the story behind the numbers that make our world work. Today we’re looking at the 2017 tax cuts. According to Gallup, 46 percent of Americans still disapprove of the 2017 tax cuts. Unsurprisingly, Republicans favor it more than Democrats. President Trump and the Republican Party said the overhaul would especially benefit the middle class, but a majority of Americans say it hasn’t helped at all. The cuts didn’t affect 2017 taxes filed in April, though employees were supposed to have seen increases in their paychecks as of February 2018. But almost two-thirds of Americans have seen no difference. Are you happy with the new tax plan?
