Cyclist in Hudson fighting for life after crash

May 5—A cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after slamming into a car making a left turn in Hudson, police said.

Police were called to the intersection of Library and Connell streets just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release.

Witnesses and fire personnel began to administer lifesaving measures. The man was brought to Elliot Hospital and as of Saturday night remained in the Intensive Care Unit, according to the release.

An investigation showed northbound traffic on Library Street stopped to allow a Chevy Malibu in the southbound lane to make a left turn. The cyclist traveling north in the shoulder crashed into the passenger side of the car. The cyclist was not wearing a helmet.

This crash is still under investigation and the names of those involved are being withheld. Anyone who witnessed the crash can contact Officer Blanchard at 603-886-6011.
