Watch out journalists, Curt Schilling wants you dead — strung up from a tree, to be exact.
The recently-fired ESPN analyst tweeted a photo Monday from a Trump rally showing a Republican supporter wearing a T-shirt proclaiming: “Rope. Tree. Journalist. Some assembly required.”
“Ok, so much awesome here…” the former Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies pitcher wrote as a caption to the image of a man at a rally in Minnesota over the weekend.
The polarizing MLB All-Star went on to claim that the post “displayed sarcasm,” and told people who didn’t approve to “shut the hell up.”
Twitter, I want to sincerely thank you for "Mute". I love the thought that they are out there tweeting their hearts out and I don't see it!

And there were plenty of Twitter users who didn’t like it.
“Baseball has a real problem on their hands with the post-career effects of CTE. Look at Curt Schilling. Serious brain damage,” one user wrote.
“Curt Schilling was a great pitcher. Really good postseason numbers. Clutch. Assume that’s why everyone is talking about him, yes?” another said, displaying sarcasm as it should be used.
Another simply called Schilling a “disgusting human being,” while numerous users encouraged people to vote Tuesday to “make Curt Schilling sad.”
After being fired by ESPN earlier this year for repeated inappropriate comments, the Trump supporter announced in August his intention to run for the White House in 2024 in the comments section of his own Facebook post bashing President Obama, Hillary Clinton and former California state senator Leland Yee.
“State office first, white house in 8 years,” Schilling wrote, when asked by a commentator if he was running for office, “or 4 if by some amazing illegal event this country elects another clinton,” he added.

Oh god. Curt Schilling is trending. What did he do now?

Welp, Curt Schilling just threw away any chance at a return to being a baseball tv analyst ever again. What a sad old man, modern Ty Cobb.

Hillary’s final appeal to voters should just be “Vote for me and make Curt Schilling sad on Nov. 8.”
