Curfew hours in Kyiv will remain unchanged during Easter celebrations on May 5 — from midnight to 5:00 a.m., Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed on Wednesday, May 1.

All necessary security measures will be taken in the capital for the holiday.

Law enforcement officers and Kyiv municipal security representatives will patrol religious institutions and services at churches and cathedrals.

They will be on hand to assist in evacuating believers and clergy to bomb shelters in the event of an air raid alert.

Special temporary monitoring centers will also operate in Kyiv during the holiday.

Kyiv officials urged citizens to refrain from visiting churches on Easter and to watch services online, as well as to avoid large gatherings of people, as "provocations or missile attacks on this day cannot be ruled out."

Russia may be preparing missile attacks in Ukraine during the Easter holidays, Center for Countering Disinformation’s media literacy department head, Ivanna Slychka, said on April 30.
