Cuomo on debate: Obama did a ‘great job’ reminding voters of what he ‘inherited’ [VIDEO]
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. �“ Reacting to the second presidential debate Tuesday night, New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo told The Daily Caller that President Barack Obama did a “great job” reminding voters of the economic situation he inherited from former President George W. Bush.
“I thought he [Obama] did a great job. I think he had to remind people where he started from. You know, people say they’re unhappy with the economy, yeah, but remember what the economy was doing that the president inherited and we were in economic free fall and they were talking about the entire banking system collapsing,” Cuomo told TheDC in the spin room after the debate.
“That’s what he walked into and I think when you remember that, you see we’ve made progress, we have more to do but the arrows are pointed in the right direction.”
