Cumberland County road closed due to large tree, wires down

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – A portion of York Road (PA Rt. 74) is closed Wednesday morning in Cumberland County due to a large tree and wires down.

The Cumberland County Department of Public Safety says the closure is between Williams Grove Road and Sheaffer Road.

The department says utility workers have been contacted, however, the road will be closed for the morning rush hour.

There is no estimate for when the road will reopen. According to FirstEnergy, a few dozen customers are without power.
