Cumberland County Chick-fil-A officially reopens

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A local Chick-fil-A restaurant officially reopened following renovations.

abc27 news reported in January 2024 when the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Mechanicsburg first announced that it would be closing for renovations.

The Mechanicsburg Chick-fil-A, located at 6416 Carlisle Pike, officially closed its doors back on Thursday, January 25. The company had previously told abc27 news that these renovations included “an expanded parking lot to increase capacity, along with new entrance doors and a redesign of the dining room.”

Now, after about six weeks of renovations, Chick-fil-A Mechanicsburg shared on Facebook that they would be officially reopening later this week on Thursday, March 14 from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“We have been closed for 6 weeks for our anticipated remodel… the remodel has been completed,” Chick-fil-A Mechanicsburg said. “Our team is ready to welcome our community back to Mechanicsburg.”

The Mechanicsburg Chick-fil-A isn’t the only restaurant that will be undergoing renovations; the Chick-fil-A in Chambersburg, located at 970 Norland Avenue, will be closing this summer for approximately 4 to 6 weeks for its own renovation.

Renovations for the Chambersburg location will include the reconfiguring of the drive-thru lanes to enhance traffic flow and adding new canopies. Furthermore, they will be adding designated pick-up areas in the dining room and parking lot to improve the guest experience.
