CHICAGO — Cubs manager Craig Counsell finalized his first Opening Day roster on Tuesday.

According to MLB.com, veteran Garrett Cooper made the team as Patrick Wisdom opens the season on the Injured List with a back injury. Starter Jameson Taillon is also opening the season on the IL, which allowed for Javier Assad to make the rotation.

In the bullpen, 6’8″ lefty Luke Little made the team after not allowing a run in minimal action last year.

Here’s a look at the 26-man roster.

Catchers: Miguel Amaya, Yan Gomes

Infielders: Michael Busch, Garrett Cooper, Nico Hoerner, Nick Madrigal, Miles Mastrobouni, Christopher Morel, Dansby Swanson

Outfielders: Cody Bellinger, Ian Happ, Seiya Suzuki, Mike Tauchman

Starting rotation (in order): Justin Steele, Kyle Hendricks, Jordan Wicks, Shota Imanga, Javier Assad

Bullpen: Yency Almonte, Adbert Alzolay, Jose Cuas, Mark Leiter Jr., Luke Little, Julian Merryweather, Hector Neris, Drew Smyly

Cubs release reliever Carl Edwards Jr. and infielder Dominic Smith
