CTA trains halted temporarily near Fullerton due to small fire

CHICAGO - CTA Red and Brown line trains were halted temporarily near the Fullerton station due to a small track-level fire.

CTA encouraged riders to seek alternative travel options, such as nearby bus routes or using buses to access other rail lines.

Shuttle buses were requested from Belmont and State/Lake stations to facilitate connections through the impacted zone.

Just after 5 p.m., the CTA said trains were running again with some delays.
