Four years ago, Alamillo graduated high school during the 2020 pandemic, forcing her to miss her high school graduation. “I feel like this accomplishment is about eight years of accumulation now. Really of school and being able to walk across the stage, be acknowledged at the right time, right after our school, because during the pandemic.” Alamillo said. “It was completely virtual and then we had a ceremony in the summertime so, it didn’t feel like a complete end. Now it really feels like a closing of a chapter.”
