The Crystal & Lucy Awards, which honor exemplary women in the entertainment industry, has announced this year's recipients.
The honorees, led by Laura Linney, the stars of Mad Men, George Lucas and Sofia Coppola, will be celebrated at the Crystal & Lucy Awards dinner, held June 12 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
“It’s a landmark year for Women In Film, celebrating our forty year history," said Cathy Schulman, president of Women in Film, Los Angeles. "Our six honorees illustrate the wide spectrum of creative innovation coming from women, and it’s a privilege to be commemorating all of their successes.”
“The remarkable honorees have enriched our lives over the years and it is especially exciting to honor them during our 40th Anniversary," said Iris Grossman, president emeritus of Women in Film, Los Angeles.
Linney, of Showtime's outgoing The Big C: hereafter, will receive the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film.
The female stars of AMC's Mad Men -- Christina Hendricks, January Jones, Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Pare and Kiernan Shipka -- will be honored with the Lucy Award for Excellence in Television.
