New cruise ship to sail on ‘around the world’ voyage from Florida

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A new cruise ship will sail on an “around the world” voyage from Florida.

Oceania Cruises said its newest ship, Vista, will take passengers on a 180-day cruise “around the world” in 2026. The ship will visit 101 ports across 43 countries.

The six-month journey will embark from Miami on Jan. 6, 2026. There is room for 1,200 guests and 800 crew members on the ship.

During the voyage, the Vista will cross three oceans and 18 seas, exploring Southeast Asia, Australia, the South Pacific, Europe and South American cities. There will also be overnight stays in 11 ports.

“After the remarkable success of our most recent world cruises, we have been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to present travelers with an even more extraordinary experience for our 2026 voyage,” remarked Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “With that, we are excited to announce that Vista, Oceania Cruises’ pinnacle of luxury and newest ship, will circumnavigate the globe artfully intertwining diverse continents, enriching cultures, and mouthwatering cuisines, creating an unforgettable tapestry of exploration for our guests. With this new voyage, we are excited to offer a rare chance to experience the world from an entirely new perspective – and further forward the future of global cruising.”

The once-in-a-lifetime voyage comes at a high price. Oceania Cruises said a room in the French Veranda stateroom category will start at $59,699 per person, which comes to about $330 per day before taxes and fees.

The world cruise includes first-class roundtrip airfare and transfers, laundry services, a free visa package, internet, pre-paid gratuities, luggage delivery, an $8,800 per stateroom shore excursion credit and a lunch and dinner beverage package.

Oceania Cruises said it is also offering a 120-day voyage from San Diego to Miami, as well as a 197-day cruise from Los Angeles to Miami.

If you are interested in taking the world cruise, bookings open on Wednesday, March 13.
