Cruise liner fixed after having accident in France

PARIS (AP) — A Costa Crociere cruise liner has continued on its Mediterranean voyage after a collision in the port of Marseille caused a one-day delay.

The Costa Pacifica, a 290-meter passenger liner built in 2009, suffered minor damage when it collided with a berthing structure called a "dolphin" early Tuesday.

Repairs to a several-meters-long scratch above the vessel's water line were completed and the Pacifica was to arrive at its next port of call Barcelona on Wednesday, the ship's owner Costa Crociere said in a statement.

It blamed a strong gust of wind for causing the accident in Marseille.
