Crowd Gathers Outside St Louis Justice Center for Fourth Night of Protests
Protesters gathered to “light up” the night outside the Justice Center in downtown St. Louis the evening of Monday, September 18.
The protests marked the fourth night of demonstrations following the acquittal of a former police officer in the shooting death of a suspected drug dealer.
Former Officer Jason Stockley, who is white, had been charged with murder in the death of Anthony Lamar Smith, who was black. A judge found him not guilty on Friday, prompting protests that lasted through the weekend and into Monday night. Credit: Twitter/Kaley Johnson via Storyful
