Criss Angel's Mission to Cure Pediatric Cancer
Criss Angel has a new feat he’d like to accomplish, to make childhood cancer disappear.
The illusionist’s world was rocked in 2015 when his son Johnny was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The star rushed to be by his son’s side in Australia, where he lives with his mom Shaunyl. Criss joins The Doctors to open up about his family’s cancer battle.
“When I found out, it devastated me… but I quickly felt I had to make lemonade out of lemons,” he explains. “I turned the camera on myself and decided I was going to make a documentary called ‘1095’ about pediatric cancer, about what it’s like for the child, the family, the parents, so that other people can helpfully learn from our experience.”

Adding, “I decided to completely dedicate my life to children and to try and make a difference.”
The famous performer also plans to do a celebrity-filled TV special every year from Las Vegas in an effort to raise money to fight cancer.
Fortunately, his son is now in remission, but still struggles with his chemotherapy and steroid treatment. Criss credits Johnny’s mom Shaunyl for her tireless work helping their child battle his cancer daily.
