Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers reward for information on missing Vancouver woman

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a reward for information about the whereabouts of a missing Vancouver woman.

For weeks, KOIN 6 News has been tracking the investigation surrounding Cristina Ase’s disappearance.

According to police, phone records show the 61-year-old left her Vancouver apartment for work just after 6:30 a.m. on March 26. However, instead of heading to her job in West Linn, her phone pinged in Southeast Portland.

Investigators with the Vancouver Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Oregon are teaming up to offer cash rewards of up to $2,500 for any tips on Ase’s whereabouts. Tips can be submitted anonymously via Crime Stoppers’ website or their mobile app called “P3 tips.”

Investigators have called Ase’s disappearance “suspicious.”

Ase’s 2013 dark gray RAV4 was mysteriously found outside her home a day after her disappearance. Investigators said they found a roll of duct tape and several hairs inside, according to a search warrant document released on April 9. Officials also said the rearview mirror was askew and that several surfaces of the car’s interior had a white powdery residue resembling a cleaning agent.
