Water main break in Peters Township impacts about 80 residents

Crews from Pennsylvania American Water were in Peters Township Tuesday morning, working to repair a water main break.

It happened along Brookwood Road, near the intersection of Redwood Drive. A section of the road was blocked off.

Video captured by a Channel 11 photographer shows a large amount of water rushing down the street.

Washington County 911 told Channel 11 this first happened at around 3:30 a.m.

There are about 80 customers without service, according to Pennsylvania American Water. Service is expected to be restored by late afternoon.
